After the launch of 660cc Suzuki Alto, Pak Suzuki is looking forward to introduce the 4th generation of Suzuki Jimny in Pakistan this year. Currently, Suzuki Jimny is available in the 3rd generation model whereas this 3rd generation was discontinued globally in 2018. The 4th generation was launched last year in Japan and quite successful in other countries. If we talk about the history of Suzuki Jimny, the first generation was launched in 1970, second generation was launched in 1981 and third was launched in 1998. According to Pak Suzuki News, the upcoming 4th generation Jimny is a redesigned unit and looks more modern than the previous generation. The 3rd generation Suzuki Jimny was powered by 4 cylinder 1328cc petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. Whereas, the new model is expected to come in K15B 1.5L 4 cylinder 1462cc petrol engine that can produce a maximum torque of 138 Nm at 440 rpm.
Some minor changes also expected in exterior, front bumper that make the front look more modern, clam-shell bonnet with round shaped headlights and more.
